Pinecone Garland with Handmade Cordage + Bulrush Stars

  • Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 12535 15th Avenue Northeast, Ste 120 Seattle, WA, 98125 United States (map)

I don’t know about you but I can’t help but pick up pine cones. There are so many different kinds and I honestly love them all. From the quirky jigsaw cones of the Giant Sequoias to the prickly Ponderosas. Put your pine cone picking to a new purpose…garland!

Spend a relaxing evening perfecting your cordage making skills OR learn how to cord for the first time. We’ll magically turn daylily leaves into strong creamy golden cordage to string our locally foraged pinecones. Don’t worry the cones have been baked to remove any tagalongs crawlies. We’ll also learn to make bulrush stars - bonus!

You will have 2 hours to make as much pinecone cordage and bulrush stars as you can! So get ready, get set and cord!!!

Age minimum: 8 with accompanying adult (both attendees should purchase a ticket)

Class maximum: 10 student (minimum 6)

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
