Willow Bark Bracelet

  • Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 12535 15th Avenue Northeast, Ste 120 Seattle, WA, 98125 United States (map)

When I wear my willow bark bracelet it reminds me that I can be like the willow - flexible, grounded, full of vigor, and resilience. I can withstand the storm or flood and bounce back - my roots are strong and I can resist!

Willow is an incredible plant offering medicine in its bark (used by humans for more than 3500 years!), habitat for birds in its swaying branches, stability for river and stream banks with its dense roots and so much more.

Willow bark can only be harvested for a few months in the spring and early summer but if dried and storied properly can last for years. For weaving, willow bark can be used to make baskets, hats, jewelry, art, and more.

Minimum age: 14

Class size maximum: 10 students | Class size minimum: 6 students

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
