Mystery Mini Basket

  • Field and Forest Classroom 12535 15th Avenue Northeast Seattle, WA, 98125 United States (map)

Tiny baskets are A-DOR-A-BLE. I get it.

Tiny baskets were a big part of how I got started weaving. I didn’t have much material and most of what I could gather were considered “soft fibers” like leaves and stems. So I made tiny baskets…lots and lots…of tiny baskets.

I want to start sharing what I’ve learned about these little gems with you. So each month, I’ll host an evening mystery mini basket workshop. Each month will be different materials. And each month will include a different way to start and/or finish the basket (making a border). We’ll play with handles and buttons along the way. You never know what might how up each month.

Smaller doesn’t mean easier or faster. But my goal is to send you home with a completed mini-basket AND materials to make at least one more on your own time! BONUS!

This is a SKILLS WORKSHOP. The focus is on learning skills and NOT the finished project.

I want this to be the catalyst to start you on your tiny basket journey or a boost to the one you’re already on. For every “perfect” tiny basket, I had plenty of wonky ones. :)

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

Minimum age: 14

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
