Willow Swallows (Morning)

  • NEW Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 1608 Northeast 179th Street Shoreline, WA, 98155 United States (map)

Making willow swallows is a great introduction to weaving with willow. You’ll test your hand strength, learn to manipulate the willow to limit breakage, and safely use a bodkin (provided). *A bodkin is a traditional willow tool that looks like a large awl - like this…

We’ll have time to make 2 swallows (approx. 12 x 12 inches) in the workshop giving you a chance to practice and improve your new skills.

Minimum age: 14 with accompanied paid adult

Class max: 8 students

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
