Play with Plants Woven Vessel

  • NEW Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 1608 Northeast 179th Street Shoreline, WA, 98155 United States (map)

I love this workshop because we get to explore so many of my favorite local weave-able plants - like daylily and iris to willow and cedar bark. Every vessel will be unique because you are unique!

You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for your home - or to give as a gift. We’ll create a simple starburst willow bark bottom and work our way up exploring flexible leaves and stems and use willow, maple and cedar bark for plaited contrast.

All workshop materials have been harvest by hand sustainably and responsibly by me from here in the Puget Sound.

This workshop is a great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.

Class size max: 10 students (minimum 5 students)

Minimum age: 14 with accompanying paid adult.

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
