GUEST TEACHER: Winter Wreaths with Maria

  • Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 12535 15th Avenue Northeast Seattle, WA, 98125 United States (map)

Guided by Maria, you will craft a unique wreath using fresh and dried natural materials that bring warmth and charm to your home. Whether a beginner or seasoned crafter, this workshop offers an inviting space to connect, create, and celebrate the beauty of winter. Come nourish your creative spirit before the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and be sure to invite a family member or friend to join you.

Maria is offering two tracks simultaneously - Conventional Technique and Fully Compostable technique:

  • Track One (Conventional Technique): This track offers a conventional wreath construction (metal base with wire), while fashioning a beautiful design. This track is great for those who want to practice wreath making fundamentals. Cost is $80 and includes tax, supplies, and instruction. Payment by check or Venmo.

  • Track Two: (Compostable Technique): This track will offer you a chance to work with all natural mechanics (grapevine base with twine), allowing for the wreath to be fully compostable. This track is great if you're looking to stretch your crafting skills or want to practice an environmental approach. Cost is $90 and includes tax, supplies, and instruction. Payment by check or Venmo

About 80-90% of Maria’s materials are intentionally, carefully and sustainably foraged from her community, including local gardens belonging to friends, family, and gardeners, and plants she’s grown in her own cut flower garden.

Registration is managed by Maria. She accepts check or Venmo. Space is LIMITED!
