A little about me and Field and Forest Crafts…

I found my life's passion in basketry and wild crafting a little over 3 years ago. And though I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years, it wasn’t until I discovered the joy of farming and foraging basketry materials that I truly formed deep ties to place and a meaningful connection to the land. Through weaving, I found a new way to explore and appreciate the biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest. I started casually teaching basketry and wild crafting in 2024. The same year I started a small basketry willow farm in Carnation, Washington. Though I weave with much more than willow - willow is my heart plant. On my 1/16th of an acre, I can invite students to learn, harvest, and engage directly with the willow. I opened Field and Forest Crafts in 2025 in a very small space in NE Seattle and moved to my current location in the summer of 2026. The Shoreline location is my primary creative studio, classroom, and storefront.
