Let’s have a conversation about some of the incredible plants that grow here in the Pacific Northwest and explore ways to identify, gather, store and use them to create baskets and crafts that bring nature inside. Whether you live in an urban, suburban or rural setting there are forage-able weaving materials to be found. You might have to explore with new eyes and set reminders in your calendar...but there are goodies to be had year round.
Daylily, daffodil, dandelion, crocosmia, iris, cattails, juncus, bulrush, ivy, honeysuckle, wisteria, dogwood, willow and more!
I will share about my approach to sustainable and responsible foraging. We all need to care for the plants we harvest, preserve the environments they grow in, respect the owners and keepers of the land, and be safe…for ourselves and nature.
This PRESENTATION is excellent for beginners and those who love nature, plants, and crafting. I will be offering lots of show & tell, a chocked full of info PowerPoint presentation, and time for Q&A. There are 100’s of plants, weaving skills, and crafts to explore but you will walk away with some fun easy ways to get started.
Special sliding-scale pricing available for this presentation…please select what makes the most sense for your life at this time. I try to respect the seasonality of all things including in ourselves and that means sometimes life feels abundant and in other times it doesn’t. I want to share some of the joy I have for weaving and wild crafting and hope this allows you to join regardless of the season you are currently in. With love - Erin
