I love this workshop because…
1) It’s a great introduction to weaving AND working with local plants
2) We get to spend the afternoon at the lovely Cultus Bay Gardens!
We’ll weave with some of my favorite weave-able plants - like daylily and iris to willow and cedar bark. Every vessel will be unique because you are unique!
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for your home - or to give as a gift. We’ll create a simple starburst willow bark bottom and work our way up exploring flexible leaves and stems and use willow, maple and cedar bark for plaited contrast.
All workshop materials have been harvest by hand sustainably and responsibly by me from here in the Puget Sound.
This workshop is a great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.
Class size max: 10 students
