SOLD OUT - Bulrush Baubles for Home & Garden

  • Field and Forest Crafts Classroom 1608 Northeast 179th Street Shoreline, WA, 98155 United States (map)

One technique + Plentiful Bulrush = Baubles for Everyone!

Come try your hand at bulrush spiral weaving and make quirky bulbs, cattails, and dragonfliesto add whimsy to your home or garden.

Spiral weave, sometimes called corn dolly weave, is a simple and versatile weaving pattern that allows for creativity. While the technique can be used with materials ranging from wheat stalks to willow rods, bulrush provides a beginner-friendly material that is gentle on the hands.

In this workshop, we'll start with a simple bulb shape and explore from there. Once everyone feels comfortable with the technique, you can decide your creative focus.

Time permitting, each student will have supplies to make at least five projects. If you don't finish your 5 projects, you can take the remaining materials home to complete later.

Minimum age: 14 with accompanying paid adult.

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.

Price: $55
